Evan M. Liddiard is a certified public accountant who specializes in individual and small business tax planning issues. Before joining Dominion Financial Consultants, Evan served as Tax Policy Advisor to Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), the senior Republican of the Senate Finance Committee. In this position, Evan was the principal advisor to Senator Hatch on all tax matters before the Congress.
In the private sector, Evan was a partner with KPMG's National Tax Practice in Washington, DC, where he focused on advising clients of the firm on all tax policy developments. Prior to coming to Washington, Evan was a tax manager with Deloitte, where he specialized in tax planning and compliance for businesses, estates, and individuals. He currently teaches the Tax Policy class in the graduate tax program at American University. Evan is widely recognized in Washington as a tax policy expert, particularly in the areas of international tax, high technology, pass-through entities, and tax reform issues. He blends a deep understanding of business and financial affairs with technical tax proficiency, and an impressive ability to translate difficult concepts into understandable language.
Evan received an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Utah (magna cum laude). He later earned a Master's Degree in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University and a Master of Science in Taxation from American University's Kogod School of Business. He was honored at the national and state levels for achieving top scores on the CPA examination. Evan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
